For 2 years, 3 Emerging Australian Designers and 3 Emerging Korean Designers have taken part in an exciting exchange of ideas and cultural experience.
The exchange program includes International travel to South Korea (1 week in Seoul) and Australia (1 week in Brisbane and Sydney) where the designers visit trade events, investigate the local fashion industry, attend workshops and be led by industry mentors. The designers have had the opportunity to collaborate with international designers.
During a week of May in Australia the 6 emerging designers had the opportunity to collaborate with each other and gain local industry knowledge, giving them exposure to the fashion industry and market in each country, and immerses them in a culture they may not be familiar with but may be interested in their designs.
SBS meets 3 emerging Korean designers, Se Hyung Kim, Kyung Jin Uh and Eeunhee Lee.
