IBIS world forecasts that fast food franchise industry will increase 3.7 per cent annually but the net profit will be decreased.


According to ‘Business chief’, an economy magazine, top 10 of fast food brands in Australia based on the number of locations they have is as below.

1st Subway (First entered Australia with an outlet in Perth in 1988/ 1,413 stores in Australia)

2nd Maccas (Opened first in Sydney in 1971/ Over 900 stores in Australia)

3rd KFC (Entered Australia in 1968/ 612 stores in Australia)

4th Dominos (In May 2005 the company became the first publicly listed pizza company in Australia. 600 stores in Australia)

5th Hungry Jacks (Hungry Jack’s is a franchise of the international Burger King Corporation/ 390 stores in Australia)

6th Red Rooster (It was founded in Western Australia in 1972/360 stores in Australia)

7th Pizza hut (There are 270 Pizza Hut branches in Australia)

8th Nando’s (Entered Australia in 1990/ 264 stores in Australia)

9th Zambrero (It was founded in 2005 in Canberra/ 150 stores in Australia)

10th Oporto (It was founded in 1986 in North Bondi, New South Wales / 134 stores in Australia

 

IBIS world forecasts that fast food franchise industry will increase 3.7 per cent annually but the net profit will be decreased.

Also, Sydney Morning Harold reported ‘Domino effect’, which includes a conflict between Domino pizza HQ and independent store owner.
