Australian federal police will visit South Korea so as to set up final security plan to ensure 50 athletes safety during 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

The Australian Federal Police will join Australian Olympic committee’s trip to South Korea. The AFP will attend a security briefing from Games organisers and finalise the security plan for 50 Australian athletes participating in 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

The Australian Olympic committee’s Chef de Mission Ian Chesterman said although Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull deemed the Korean peninsula is in the most dangerous time in more than 50 years, he is "comfortable" with the security matter in the country.
