First Korean Australian Member of ACT Legislative Assembly, Elizabeth Lee

For the first time as Korean Australian, Elizabeth Lee was elected as a Liberal member for Kurrajong ACT Legislative Assembly after the ACT election closed on October 15.


After Lee graduated high school in Sydney, entered ANU Law School and has recently successfully combined her career as a lawyer with a law lecturer at her alma matar, ANU.

Born in Korea and moved to Australia when she was 7 years old, Lee is fluent in Korean and as she has a long conversation with her parents in Korean every night. She said that her identity as a Korean makes her most valuable.

Lee who has the environment and disability portfolios in shadow ACT ministry, said she will do her best for residents in Kurrajong.
