Former Australian swimmer Kenneth To dies at aged 26

Kenneth To, Hong Kong’s national swimmer, grown up in Australia has died at the age of 25 during training in Florida, USA.


Kenneth To is a former Australian world silver medal-winning swimmer who transferred his nationality to his birth country Hong Kong in 2016.

He held 16 Hong Kong swimming records and was training in the USA for next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

Hong Kong Sports Institute announced that Kenneth To reported feeling unwell during a training session and was taken to hospital but died later.

ABC reported his death with Australian swimming industries heartbroken reaction.

Kenneth To won a lot of medals in swimming competitions held in the Korean community in Sydney during his junior career the news has drawn a lot of attention in the Korean population.
