Geelong Korea, the first team in the Australian Baseball League with only Korean players have experienced touch start.
The team led by South Korean baseball legend Dae-Sung Koo lost four games in a row during the first round against Sydney Blue Sox.
Koo told SBS Korean program as our players haven’t had much experience, the game is new to them.

“The players told me Australian players play better than they expected and as this is the first time for them to play against foreign players it has been tough,” Koo says.
However, the Sydney Blue Sox’s manager Tony Harris says each week Geelong Korea will improve.

“Their first couple of games, we were able to get on top of them with a couple of wins but they are going to get better. The more they get to play with each other as a team the stronger they become I believe.” Harris says.
Many Korean fans come to Blacktown baseball stadium to cheer for Geelong Korea and they are not disappointed by this week’s loss.

“As it is their first times I hope the players don’t worry about the scores and just play” Baseball fan Kwang Hyuk Lee says.
“All of the fans believe that they are going to be better,” Yeong Kwon Bae wearing Korean national baseball uniform says.
“I think they can win next game or the game after. I hope they don’t forgive and keep working for fans rooting for them” Sydney man Minkyu Choi says.
