Gender pay gap falls to 20-year low

Australia's gender pay gap has dropped to a 20-year low, with full-time working women earning an average of $1433 a week while men take home $1678.


The pay gap between working men and women in Australia has dropped to its lowest level in two decades.

Official figures show the gender pay gap stands at 14.6 per cent for full-time workers, down from 15.3 per cent a year ago.

Women are earning an average $1433.60 a week, $244.80 less than men, figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show.
