Geographically isolated kids disadvantaged in distance education amid the increasing demand

Some parents in the remote areas and educators are getting concerned that the purpose of distance education has been faded as geographically isolated kids are disadvanted in the scheme due to the strong demand.


The enrolments of five out of seven distance education schools in Queensland has been on the rise for the past 10 years.
This is because of the increase of non-geographically isolated students who are taking on distance education because of medical reasons or personal choices.
Distance education is a schooling service provided by online and mail for geographically isolated students with limited educational choice.
