Although tensions in Korean peninsula is unusually high, a Gold coast tour company didn't stop to run an annual tour to the most controversial destination and now they are organising another group tour to North Korea for 2018.

While most of tour companies in the world seem to stop running tours to the most mysterious country, North Korea, a travel company in Gold Coast are still sending tourists to the Hermit Kingdom with secretive Communist dictatorship.

The Gold Coast bulletin introduces about Travel Master, a travel agency founded 26 years ago in Queensland has been organising custom-made tours of North Korea on every August for the past eight years.

The recent tensions in the Korean peninsula are record high but it hasn't stopped the agency sending curious locals to the mystery country.

Managing director of the company, Neil Kirby lead the 2016 and 2017 tours and he is planning to return to North Korea again in August 2018.

Mr Kirby said the tour is not like a Truman Show style environment where everything is set up for you and there are a lot of program to interact with warm North Koreans.
