Government pledges $50 million to aid bushfire-affected wildlife

The federal government will put $50 million towards helping Australia's flora and fauna in a bid to ease the damage caused by unprecedented bushfires.


Wildlife and environmental groups are being given an initial cash injection of $50 million as the country reels from the unprecedented bushfire crisis.

The commonwealth money will be evenly split with $25 million to an emergency intervention fund and $25 million for frontline environmental groups.
