'Hearts have been broken': NSW bushfire victims honoured in state memorial

Firefighters who lost their lives during the summer's devastating NSW bushfire crisis have been honoured at a state memorial service.


The scars remain but traumatised communities are starting to heal as a state memorial honoured the lives lost and the heroes forged in the NSW bushfire crisis.

A public state memorial was on Sunday held at Sydney Olympic Park to recognise the devastating toll of the bushfires that ripped through much of NSW.
