Korean psychotherapist Elizabeth Lee says people often say depression is a cold of mind, but it is not because without intervention it is difficult to overcome it.


Jonghyun’s sudden death has given a great shock to fans around world. As it is known that Jonghyun’s K-Pop band SHINEE has led many global fans to K-Pop music though their songs, a lot of fans in Australia also has been experienced really hard time.

Any deaths of your favourite stars would give you enormous sense of loss however, it would be harder if you are an impressionable teenager and found out that your shiny star actually had suffered severe depression in spite of huge loves and supports from fans.

Korean psychotherapist Elizabeth Lee says people often easily say depression is a cold of mind, but it is not. “Because you need interventions for chronic depression to get better not like a common cold that your immune system can get through eventually.” Ms Lee says. Therefore, Ms Lee emphasises on the importance of detection when it comes to the mental illness.
