Overseas Voting

Overseas voting registration for Koreas legislative election, coming next April, will finish next Saturday 13th February.

The election will be the third, following the 2012 legislative and presidential elections, to accept overseas votes from Korean nationals.

According to the Republic of Korea National Election Commission, eligible voters are overseas citizens who have Korean citizenship and who reside or stay outside the country.

Registrations, available both in-person at any Korean consulate, online and through mail, will close Feb. 13, the Sydney Korean Consulate General said.

The consulate said it would begin distributing promotional and informational brochures to local churches, restaurants and markets in an effort to encourage Koreans to vote.
