It’s a Korea move for cops in South Australia as Holden dies

The Advertiser reports that Korean car maker KIAs Sorento is being considered by South Australia police for their new patrol cars.


It was known that South Australia police has been testing a range of vehicles for use as patrol cars because Australian made Holden Commodore is not produced anymore domestically from October 2017.

 

While the Police declined to comment about their consideration, the Advertiser reported that the Korean-made Kia Sorento came out on top in a recent assessment of a number of

Porsche 911s and BMWs are used as patrol cars in Germany and some US states have Dodge Vipers and Ford Mustangs. Italian police is riding surprisingly luxury car - a Lamborghini.

However, South Australia police is unlikely consider those expensive options.

The process for of the new vehicles has yet to be completed. Not sure when the final decision will be made the South Australia police said.
