The Cairns Post reported that Jin Air, the low-cost carrier in South Korea, opens direct flight from Korea to Cairns on 14 December.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with 370 passengers on-board arrived at Cairs Airport last week. Jin Air will operate twice-weekly services from Seoul to Cairns until February 4.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk hailed Jin Airs arrival as a milestone for Queensland tourism and the tropical north. Korea is a fast-growing market for Queensland, she said.
