Jobless rate edges higher to 7.5 per cent

The unemployment rate rose to 7.5 per cent in July as more people sought work, despite the number of people in employment jumping by 114,700.


The unemployment rate has risen to 7.5 per cent - its highest level in 22 years - as the Australian economy reels from the coronavirus pandemic.
