“North Korea continues to pose a serious threat to global peace and stability. Australia is not far away from the region and there is imminent danger of missile strikes by Kim Jong-un. It is important for Australia to pay attention not just our own backyard but our region broadly. “Mr Leeser said.
On Thursday 5 October, Mr Leeser is hosting an information evening in Pennant Hills with The Hon. Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Ms Bishop will discuss the implications of North Korea’s illegal weapons program from an Australian perspective and the key role the Federal Government has and continues to play in maintaining diplomatic pressure on North Korea to end its illegal weapons program.
Mr Leeser said Korean community in Australia can help to solve North Korean issues to be part of the information night as it will make them fully informed and people who are concerned about the issues should have voice in a political party process.
