University of Queenslnd hosts its first major Korean Pop event on 11 April.
Brisbane born Korean pop idol Jason Hanbyul Jang, international K-Pop dance group Triple Threat and Brisbane based
K-pop dance groups P4pero, DB Dance and more will perform on the night and
SBS PopAsia host and DJ Andry Trieu will bring a jam packed schedule full of Korean
pop fun including Just Dance activations and Korean pop DJ sets.
Celeb Five will be performing at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival in
Australia.
The group was invited after Bridget Bantick, one of the associate directors of
the festival, attended the 2018 Busan International Comedy Festival and watched Celeb
Five perform at the opening ceremony.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is in its 33rd year and is one of the three
biggest comedy festivals in the world alongside the U.K.’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe
and Canada’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
Celeb Five will be the third Korean comedic team, and the first predominantly female Korean team, to be invited to
the Melbourne festival following Ongals and drawing circus team Croquiky Brothers.
Celeb Five will be performing “Shutter” as the closing act at “Upfront,” an all-female
comedienne event that takes place on April 17. Then on April 19, they will also perform
for the outdoors event “Very Big Laugh Out,” and the “Festival Club” event as well.
Celeb Five is a dance group of four comediennes Song Eun Yi, Kim Shin Young, Shin
Bong Sun, and Ahn Young Mi. The group was formed through a web variety show
series and they have received much love for their energetic choreography and unique
visuals.
