A Korean Australian folk artist Su Jin Nam exhibits her works at Brisbane Modern Art Gallery.

Western painter, Su Jin Nam fell in love with minhwa in a very odd place, the land down under. Living overseas brought up the craving for Korean art in her.

She learnt the very traditional way in order to create her own art and opened a studio to train others since 2000.

Her long effort is today presented as her own exhibition at Brisbane Modern Art Gallery.

The visitors would find colourful and sometimes humorous paintings and furniture. She advised to view minhwa as a little storyboards that imply little wishes of people. "The more you know minhwa, the deeper you will find yourself in the charm of it." She would love to share her love for minhwa with Australians through this exhibition.
