
"Australian perspectives on South and North Korea marching together under a flag in the same uniforms at the opening ceremony of 2000 Sydney Olympics, for the first time since the 1945 division.
A peak Korean community organisation ‘the National Unification Advisory Council’ will host an exhibition at Pullman in the Olympic Park from Sep 15 for three days to showcase every moment of the historic joint entry of two Koreas as one in the same uniform under one flag.
Then, Korean communities in 20 nations in Asia Pacific region including Australia will unite to join the first virtual exhibition in its kind in the community around the world so as to highlight the significance of the historic moment of South and North Korea marching together for the first time since 1945 division in the wake of the end of the WWII.
The head of Asia Pacific Assembly the NUAC Ms Susan Lee said, “The virtual exhibition in 3D will be a great platform to showcase a wider spectrum of the historic moment visually and remind the international community of the Korean people’s earnest wish for the peace and the unification of the two Koreas."
