Danny Choi, the Korean-born football player of Blacktown City became a football sensation in Australia after his stunning 70-metre goal in Blacktowns FFA Cup quarter-final against Sydney FC in July.

Born in Korea, Choi moved to Australia when he was in year 5 and received coaching and training at local football clubs.

At the age of 16, Choi was scouted by K-League side Daejeon Citizen FCs Youth Academy and spent three years with them. He said he was unfamiliar with the Korean style football - playing fast-paced.

Choi, playing in semi-professional leagues, said his goal is to join A-League first and move into European football in ten years.
