William Seung, a former President of the Korean Society of Sydney, has received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the Korean community.


William Seung, a former President of the Korean Society of Sydney, has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his contribution to the Korean community.

William Seung was a former President of the Korean Society of Sydney, a non-profit organisation that helps promote Korean cultures and supports the Korean community.

Seung now serves as a Chairman of the Korean Australian Community Support and a Vice Chairman of the Multicultural Communities Council of NSW.

Mr Seung immigrated to Australia from Korea in 1979.

Since then he has been very active in the Korean community to help meet various needs of Korean migrants and to develop a positive image of Korea.

SBS Radio Korean Program conducted an interview with Mr Seung about his service to the Korean community.
