Convenience store chain Withme FS in South Korea has launched the Hangover-fighting Ice bar.


Convenience store chain Withme FS, a part of the Shinsegae has launched the Gyeondyo-bar, the first ice cream bar specifically to combat the after-effects of alcohol consumption.

The grapefruit-flavoured dessert contains 0.7 per cent oriental raisin tree fruit juice, a traditional hangover remedy.

South Koreans drink 12.3 litres of alcohol per year, the most in Asia-Pacific, according to a 2014 World Health Organisation report.

South Korea is exporting its remedies for the hangover-fighting. Another most popular hangover beverage, Condition, made by a unit of the CJ, has been sold in China, Japan, and Vietnam since 2014.
