The Australian As Darwin is closer than Los Angeles from North Korea, Australia should become involved in the negotiations


Robert Gottliebsen, columnist at The Australian said Korean security issues can be the X factor in markets in 2017. X factor is a force that that suddenly and surprisingly influences share and bond prices and undoubtedly the election of Donald Trump as US President was the X-factor in 2016.

 

It said North Korea has been a regional threat to South Korea, China, Japan and USA by firing missiles testing nuclear weapon and unexpectedly assassinating North Korean dictators older half-brother in Malaysia. South Korea and US has responded by starting to install the first elements of the USs advanced Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) antimissile system to South Korea and China has been shown their oppose against the system.

 

Gottliebsen said given Darwin is much closer to North Korea than LA, it is a clear Australia should become involved in the negotiations.
