Visitors from Korea are up 28.3 per cent on the same time last year after 276,000 Korean came to Australia and spent $1.6 billion.


Visitors from Korea are up 28.3 per cent on the same time last year after 276,000 Korean came to Australia and spent $1.6 billion. Korea has emerged as the fastest-growing market and Spending by Korean visitors has increased by 34 per cent in the past year.

The 255,000 visitors a year is still dwarfed by New Zealand (1.2 million), China (1.1 million), Britain (667,000), USA (648,000), Japan (365,000) and Singapore (383,000) but the pace of growth from Korean tourists has encouraged tourism boffins. The financial Review mentioned.
