Korean veteran actress wins Grand Jury Prize at Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Brisbane

Actress Yoon Yeo-jeong has won the Grand Jury Prize at the tenth Asia Pacific Screen Awards for her role in the movie "The Bacchus Lady."


Yoon accepted the prize at the award ceremony, which was held in Brisbane, Australia, on Thursday. In the movie, Yoon plays an impoverished elderly woman in South Korea who turns to prostitution to make ends meet.

This is her second award for the movie. She was also named Best Actress at the 20th Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. The Asia Pacific Screen Awards was jointly launched in 2007 by the Australian state of Queensland, UNESCO and the International Federation of Film Producers Association(FIAPF).
