A Korean restaurant in Sydney got extensive media coverage earlier this week. Unfortunately it wasn’t for popular Korean foods but for a gross failure in meeting its obligations towards patrons.

Gangnam Station restaurant has received $2,200 fine after allowing two female patrons get drunk and later dumping them on street when they fell unconscious.

The authority is considering taking further remedial action against the venue.

Director of Compliance Operations Sean Goodchild condemned the restaurant’s actions saying that "It's hard to imagine a worse case of a venue failing in its obligations to prevent misuse and abuse of alcohol."

So what should the venue have done differently in order to be in compliance with the regulation?
