More than 100 people have died from COVID-19 in Australia as a severe outbreak continues to spread in Victoria.
Aged care workers and pharmacists have become infected, taking Australia's total number of cases to more than 10, 000.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has told Channel Nine more deaths are inevitable in Australia.
Minister Greg Hunt said, "I think if we are honest, there will be more lives lost and there will be more people admitted to ICU and ventilation. As we speak, there are approximately 90 people in hospital. 27 in ICU and 21 on ventiliation on the figures that the national incident centre has provided this morning."
