The Western Australian government seeks to attract more international students who want to migrate to Australia by introducing the new graduate stream for the state nominated visa.

International students who are willing to study in Western Australia could have a good opportunity to get a permanent visa with the new graduate stream under the state nominated visa (subclass 190 or 489).

Western Australia has rolled out a new pathway to permanent residency for international students.

Additional requirements include having gained a higher education qualification in Western Australia, including at least two years of full time study in Western Australia at a Western Australian university.

International students will also need a full-time job offer and ‘proficient English’ to be eligible under this graduate stream.

SBS Radio Korean Program has conducted an interview with Dan Kim, Lawyer at H & H Lawyers, about additional requirements applicable to the stream.
