Young Pioneer Tours, the China-based travel agency that took Warmbier to North Korea told news.com.au that travelling to North Korea is still safe to Australians despite of North Korea threatening a nuclear strike on Australia in April.

Warmbier, 22, died Monday after being medically evacuated to the United States last week suffering from severe brain damage.

Young Pioneer Tours, the China-based travel agency that took Warmbier to North Korea, said in a Facebook post that it would no longer allow US citizens on its trips.

However, the tour company told news.com.au that travelling to North Korea is still safe to Australians in spite of political conflict between Australia and North Korea.

The company defended themselves with their safety record and five hundreds reviews with five stars. It said Wambier was the only case that they have had so far and they have delivered 8,000 tourists so far to North Korea without any problems.
