NSW tightens rules for venues, weddings and funerals amid concerns about coronavirus community transmission

Restrictions on NSW indoor hospitality venues will be tightened to match those currently in place for pubs and hotels, with eight new COVID-19 cases recorded.


NSW has recorded eight new COVID-19 cases as the premier reiterated the state is on "high alert" and extended restrictions on pubs and hotels to all indoor hospitality venues.

Residents in metropolitan Melbourne are subject to stay-at-home orders and can only leave home for essential work, study, exercise or care responsibilities. People are also advised to wear masks in public.

People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your state’s restrictions on gathering limits.
