Helping a stranger in the lurch should be an ordinary event.
Tyson Crawley was stranded at the petrol station register when he couldnt pay.
In stepped a man to pay the $110 bill. He allows a selfie, but instead of giving Crawley the number he sought to arrange repayment, he merely writes his first name, John, and these words: "Pass it on." Then he left.
That night, Crawley posted the picture on his Facebook page and heaped praise for John's actions. Soon enough, he'd been identified as Newcastle ice hockey player John Kennedy Jr, by several people including Kennedy's mother-in-law. She wrote on Crawley's page that he has a new baby and isn't wealthy.
