
2018 Korean War Memorial Peace Concert Source: SBS Korean Program
The Korean War Memorial Peace Concert is organized in honour of the 65th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and the Centenary of Anzac 2014 to 2018.
The concert is hosted by Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in Korea and Patriots Cultural Association in Korea.
The peace concert has been presenting in Seoul, USA, France etc. since 2009 and this time it invites Korean War veterans around Australia.
Artistic Director and Conductor Mr Jong Hoon Bae says the orchestra put a hopeful message for world peace into their music.
Korean War veterans watched the concert seem to be overwhelmed with joy.
Rear Admiral Mr Ian Crawford says “We were very privilege to have this concert, and commemorative purpose, the way they remember the veterans of the Koran War”

“Recognition is important. In war, people get medals. Later on, they want to be recognized for what they've done and we receive that recognition today.” he says.
It is believed that the concert with 1,000 audiences provides an opportunity to reassure the friendship between Korea and Australia which has been started from the Korean War.
