People’s Party and Bareun Party: No merge but policy consultation

Possible merger between two moderate parties in Korea is not agreed and a question asking a real owner of a car parts maker Das goes viral online.


Discussions of a possible merger between the People’s Party and the Bareun Party were concluded that the two parties launched a joint policy consultation body.

Korean political commentator JS Suh says “Korean political system is based on two strong parties and it is hard to make a change”.

Suh also talk about DAS, a car parts manufacturer seemed to have a tie with former president Lee Myung-bak is back in the spotlight again and a question asking the real owner of the company is widely spreader in Korean society.

Many internet users make a comment asking who the real owner of Das is and some lawmakers even mentioned it during the National Assembly audit.
