“Political confrontation over the public broadcasting already threatens impartiality”

Two main parties in Korea are still in confrontation with each other over the public broadcasting issue.


It is the last week of parliamentary in inspections of government agencies in Korea.

The main opposition Liberty Korea Party who boycott the inspections in protest of the Korea Communications Commission's decision to add progressive members to the board of directors for public broadcaster MBC has decided to resume the inspections today.

However, the two main parties are still in confrontation with each other over the public broadcasting issue.

he ruling Democratic Party said that the Liberty Korea Party denounced the party for seeking to use public broadcasting as its tool for stirring political strife. On the other hand, the Liberty Korean Party said Democratic Party is trying to control the public broadcasters by using the progressive members.
