Korean political commentator JS Suh analyses five major South Korean presidential candidates the first TV debate on Thursday.
Five major South Korean presidential candidates had the first TV debate on Apr 13, with less than a month left before an early presidential election on 9 May.
The first debate in particular was centred on security issues as the tension in the Korean peninsula is escalating as a result of North Koreans warning of the another nuclear test and USS Carl Vinson aircraft carriers re-routing to South-East Asia along with other battleships.
Korean political commentator JS Suh says the first TV debate were quite disappointing because the two main candidates Moon, Jae-in and Ahn, Cheol-soo couldnt present their policies and views with detailed supporting evidence. Their answers were too vague and theoretical.
