A serial predator has been jailed for 18 and a half years for drugging and raping young Korean women.

Ashraf Kamal Makary, 42, was sentenced in the Brisbane District Court as he raped two Korean women and attempted to rape a third Korean woman.

Justice Leanne Clare said Makary was a "true serial predator" deliberately hunted three young Korean women who were living and travelling in Australia to improve their English.

Ashraf Kamal Makary contacted the young Korean women on a language exchange website with the intention of raping them.
