Recalls for more than 750,000 cars amount in Australia

Around 420,000 cars of Mitsubishi and 324,000 of Toyota are being recalled for safety reasons.


Mitsubishi is recalling around 420,000 cars including Lancer sedan, Triton ute, Pajero 4WD, Outlander SUV, Challenger SUV, Colt hatchback and the iMiev electric car. Faults include electrical problems which can affect turn signals, wipers and lights.

Toyota is recalling around 324,000 cars as well including Prius hybrid, Corolla sedan and hatch, Rukus between October 2008 and February 2015. Toyota has identified a weakness with the fuel suction plate assembly in the fuel tank, which may be prone to cracking.

Jeep and Chrysler recall almost 50,000 cars in Australia because they can roll away when the automatic transmission is left in the park position. And, Hyundai recalls 17,000 Tucson SUVs to fix bonnet safety latch.
