Rethinking how we treat those suffering from dementia

Ahead of World Alzheimer's Day on Saturday (21st), Australians are being urged to rethink how they treat those suffering from dementia.


In Australia, about 447,000 people live with a type of dementia.

One-in-13 of them are aged in their 30s, 40s and 50s.

Experts say even unintentional acts of discrimination can stop people from getting help, and are concerned migrants and younger people with the disease are most at risk.
