Korean K-League is starting on 1st of March with a match between Jeonbuk Hyundai and Daegu FC. Jeonbuk is K-league Champion and Daegu FC is FA Cup Champion.


Soccer TONG is a sports segment that proves how everything leads to soccer. In this episode, SBS Korean’s soccer reporter Jun Lee reports about 2019 Korean K-League kicking off on Friday 1st of March.

There are two teams in Korea look promising this year, Jeonbuk Hyundai and Gyeongnam FC.

In an interview with the new Jeonbuk coach, Morais, he told the press that Jose Mourinho might come to Korea to celebrate if Jeonbuk becomes a champion again. With Choi Kang-Hee gone, everyone is anticipating how Jeonbuk will change under Morais.

Gyeongnam FC usually struggles with finance, but this year, they have acquired significant wealth by selling three of their top players, Marcao, Choi Young-Jun and Park Ji-Soo. In return, they have gained, Jordan Mutch, a former EPL player and Luk Castaignos, a former Inter Milan player. WIth their desire to spring back to their peak form, everyone is anticipating how Gyeongnam FC will turn out.
