SBS Korean program’s soccer reporter Jun Lee reports that Korean media has been mistakenly calling the game against Manchester United and Liverpool FC as "Reds Derby" or "Roses Rivalry".


Soccer TONG is a sports segment that proves how everything leads to soccer. In this episode, SBS Korean’s soccer reporter Jun Lee says Korean media has been mistakenly calling the game against Manchester United and Liverpool FC as "Reds Derby" or "Roses Rivalry".

In fact, it is called "Northwest Derby". Manchester and Liverpool are approximately 1-hour drive away from each other, and they both experienced prosperous time from the industrial revolution. Their success in English top flight and many various factors brought fiery rivalry between Liverpool FC and Manchester United.

Monday's game ended up with 0-0, but for next time, by knowing the fiery rivalry between them, the 'Northwest Derby' could be more interesting.
