SBS Korean program’s soccer reporter Jun Lee reports that Korean women’s football team is coming to Australia for a friendly tournament this week.


Soccer TONG is a sports segment that proves how everything leads to soccer. In this episode, SBS Korean’s soccer reporter Jun Lee focuses on South Korea women’s football team who isclashing Australia’s Matildas at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on March 3, 2019.

Prior to this tournament, they participated in friendly tournament consisting of Nigeria, Romania and China, which they came 2nd in place.

Cups of Nation in Australia would be a greater challenge to the Korean Team as Australia, New Zealand and Argentina competes in the tournament. They have higher FIFA ranking and known to be a strong nation in Women Football.

Three key players in Korean team is Jo So-Hyeon, who plays for West Ham United's Women team, Lee Min-Ah, who plays for INAC Kobe in Japan and Ji So-Hyeon, known as "Ji-Messi" in Korea, who plays for Chelsea Ladies.
