The Socceroos will return in November for the first friendly match after 2018 FIFA World Cup and this time, the biggest rival of the 2019 UAE Asian Cup, South Korea is their opponent.
The two teams played before at the same ground of Suncorp Stadium 4 years ago during the 2015 Australian Asian Cup.
Courier mail reported that the match made by a partnership between Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane Marketing and Football Federation Australia will be officially announced on Tuesday Augusta 21, 2018.
Socceroos’ new coach Graham Arnold said he would use the match to prepare for the upcoming Asian Cup in UAE.
“To have the opportunity to play a team of the calibre of Korea Republic at home six weeks before the start of the AFC Asian Cup is perfect for our preparations,” Arnold said.
