A lab of the Hankook Mirae Technology in Gunpo, Seoul, Korea unveils 4 meter tall humanoid manned robot called Method-2.
The 1.5 ton robot similar to the the avatar in the blockbuster movie is being claimed as a world first.
SFX Designer Vitaly Bulgarov who participated in this project together has several blockbuster credit including Transformers, Robocop and Terminator. Method-2 makes its first steps with a human on board! We're currently revising the frame to reduce the vibration. Vitaly Bulgarov wrote on his Facebook page.
News.com.au reported that it remains unclear for now how the robot will be used. Method-2 is seen more as a test-bed for various technologies that will allow the creators to build any type and size of robot in the future.
