The Australian reported that Korean investment funds have quickly emerged as one of the main forces in the Australian property market.


South Korean group Mirae Asset Global Investments purchased one of the Canberra landmarks, 50 Marcus Clarke Street for about $321 million.

 

The record sale showed signals the market is on track for a more buoyant year as major hit the market, primarily in Sydney.

 

Mirae has been active in Australia for some years. it bought the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney for $340m in 2013 as well as the Woolworths headquarters in Sydneys northwestern suburbs for $336.45m.

 

South Koreas Teachers Pension fund this week completed the purchase of Industry Superannuation Property Trusts Green Square complex for $205.5m.
