From today, restrictions on visits to aged care facilities will be eased.
No more than two people will be allowed to visit, once per week.
Up to twenty people will be allowed at funerals, up from the previous limit of ten.
National parks and reserve will be opened to people living within 30 kilometres of them for exercise.
And TAFE campuses and training facilities will be re-opened for small groups to do practical learning or assessments.
There have been 225 COVID-19 infections in Tasmania overall, but zero in the last seventy-two hours.
Restrictions will further ease next week, as Tasmania formally begins stage one of the national three stage plan out of restrictions next Monday [[may 18]].
Meanwhile, Queensland has recorded two new cases of the coronavirus, as restrictions begin to ease across the state.
Of the over 1045 people diagnosed with COVID-19, 20 cases remain active.
The low increase in positive tests follows a week where the state recorded three days of zero cases, and a total of 13 new diagnoses.
Up to five people are now able to visit another household.
From May 16 [[Saturday]] personal training sessions, retail shopping, weddings with up to 10 people, and funerals of up to 20 patrons inside or 30 attendees outside will be permitted.
