Sydney’s 88 Pocha closed down for two weeks due to a breach of serving teen beer and soju

The Daily Telegraph reports 88 Pocha, a Korean bar in Sydney’s CBD shut down for two weeks after their liquor license was suspended due to an offence to serve beer and soju to a teenage girl.


The Daily Telegraph reports that the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority suspended a trendy Korean bar 88 Pocha’s liquor license for two weeks after finding out staff didn’t ask for ID to a 17-year-old girl drinking beer and soju on December 27, 2017.

The report said according to the spokesman for the agency a group of six people at the bar attracted the attention of police officers due to “youthful appearance”.

SBS Korean program also confirmed the bar was closed and there was a notice the bar closed for renovations from November 7 to 20.
