The Good Doctor, the first US drama based on Korean series beats The Big Bang Theory in ratings

The Good Doctor, a US drama adapted a 2013 Korean TV series win a rating battle of US screen on Monday.


A new US medial drama the Good Doctor adapted from a 2013 Korean TV series called Good Doctor. It is a story of a young doctor with autism as well as Savant syndrome. The genius doctor’s role played by Korean actor Juwon is starring Freddie Highmore in the US version. 

The third episode of the drama rated 18.2million views and it triumphed over the world's most-watched comedy series, The Big Bang Theory with 17.9 million views, in the ratings on Monday October 9.

The show was executive produced and written by David Shore of another successful medical drama, House, and Korean-born actor Daniel Dae Kim brought it to US screens.
