NSW Police said two men dressed in dark suits entered a money exchange shop in Eastwood and robbed money in the safe after they showed police ID and handcuffs.

Channel 9 reported that two men impersonating police officers robbed a currency exchange shop operated by a Korean businessman in Eastwood on March 20.

The men dressed in black suits and sunglasses showed policed identification as well as handcuffs to a staff member, a 54-year-old female.

Then, they pushed a 31-year-old customer to the ground and emptied money in the safe after jumping over the counter.

The pair also took the two victims’ wallets before running away from the scene.

Neither witnesses were injured, but the staff member has been in shock.

According to the police, one man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, about 182cm tall, with medium-length strawberry blond hair.

Another is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, aged in his late 20s, about 180cm tall, with short black hair, and a trimmed beard.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
