'Safety' and 'Economy' seem to be the hottest topics at the dinner table of Korean families gathered together for a traditional holiday, Chuseok.


This year citizens in Korea enjoy such a long Chucheok holiday. It is about 10 days. It is still common people in Korea go back to their hometown and all the relatives get together to celebrate the Korean Thanksgiving Day.

Korean political commentator JS Suh says the hottest topics at Korean dinner table this year were Safety and Economy.    

“Often foreign media reports that people in Korea don’t concern about the tension in the peninsular but the fact people talk about war and emergency situation and North Korea at the dinner table in the holiday is proving that most of people actually care about their safety” Mr Suh says.
